POLICY BRIEF: The Effects of California’s Enhanced Drug and Contraband Interdiction Program
An evaluation of a program to keep contraband from being smuggled inside prisons, co-authored by UC Berkeley professor of public policy and CPL faculty affiliate Steven Raphael, found that the prisons receiving the most intensive interventions saw declines in failed drug tests among inmates.
